Engineering Is Art: 050 – 099

Engineering Is Art: 050 – 099
For a new engineering photo every weekday follow #EngineeringIsArt on @beingbrunel.

The real shame of engineering is that we spend so much of our time trying to hide people from our craft. It’s the architecture that people are encouraged to appreciate, not the structure behind it. In an attempt to redress the balance I’ve been running a week-daily photo series called “Engineering Is Art” on Facebook, Google+ and Twitter. Everyday I post a new picture that aims to celebrate the artistry of engineering, rather than the final aesthetic.

For those of you who missed it, I collected numbers 000 to 049 in a previous post. It was therefore only a matter of time before this series hit the triple figures. So, as the second batch of 50 comes to an end, here are numbers 050 to 099 of Engineering Is Art…

All of the images forming the Engineering Is Art series are Creative Commons licensed; you can find out more about the person who took the photo by following the (Photographer) link on each image caption.

As a non-profit resource itself, Being Brunel employs a lot of Creative Commons material, which you can find out more about on the Attributions page.
