Good point about the social networking- we’ll have to see if there’s not something that can be done to fix that.

I’m sure our paths will cross fairly soon.

It’s a paradoxical situation for the BIM2050 group. I personally find BIM as a prefix quite destructive. It turns many people off, which is very frustrating. Although it has been awesome for building a platform for the members. I’d hope we have moved on from BIM in 5-6 years time!! Other wise I haven’t done my job properly… It’s probably weird to think making yourself redundant is a job well done!?

This little comment box is making me write short sentences, sorry!

As a passionate contributer to misspelt engineering rants (what can I say, I’d rather know how this shit works than how to describe it prose!), the network effect of social networking has been slow to scoop up all the energetic individuals and empower them to make change happen.

Instead it’s created a load on micro clubs that… ‘Coincidently’ …. Align with the interests of institutions and ‘BIM consultants’ pitching the energetic people against energetic people… Not building a critical mass and toppling the weird establishment-esque system stifling our innovators!

I digress, I’ve subscribed to your blog, it’s excellent and I hope we can find a way to channel our forces of good to make something happen?? I hope we can bring everyone else along for the ride too! Should be fun!
