Tragic. you are key guys in our civilization. You deserve a 100% pay raise, immediately.
Incidentally, as one who has consulted to several CE consulting engineering firms in western Canada I can say that the way to Big Bucks (in those firms & most others) is through sales. Those who can bring in the new business get rewarded very well. The poor sods who do the work get the least.
That’s what happens in a capitalist dog-eat-dog world.

  Thanks; although you’d hope the argument: “There’s not sales without infrastructure” would hold- of course it doesn’t…

    On New Year’s Eve a friend told me that there is a saying on the other side of the Atlantic about engineers:

Civil Engineering Degrees Cost Too Much - Being Brunel
